The Handyman You Call When the List Gets Long

Small Repairs, Big Relief

Every home has a list. The door that doesn't latch. The drywall patch you've been meaning to do since the plumber cut that hole. The grab bar you bought for your parents' shower six months ago. The bookshelf that wobbles. The weather stripping that's peeling off the front door. Individually, each task feels too small to bother hiring someone. Collectively, they add up to a home that feels neglected.

Our General Handyman service is the solution to the list. We come to your home with tools, hardware, and the willingness to work through every small repair, adjustment, and installation you've been putting off. One visit, one price, everything checked off.

What General Handyman Covers

  • Small drywall repair — Holes from doorknobs, plumbing access cuts, anchor removal scars. Patch, tape, mud, sand, texture match, ready for paint. We don't paint (different skill set), but we leave the patch paint-ready.
  • Door adjustments — Sticking doors, doors that won't latch, hinges that squeak, strike plates that don't catch. Interior and exterior doors. Planing, shimming, hinge tightening.
  • Weather stripping and draft sealing — Door sweeps, foam tape, V-strip, door-bottom seals. Reduces drafts, keeps dust out, helps your AC work less hard during LA summers.
  • Grab bar and safety hardware installation — Bathroom grab bars, shower safety rails, handrails on stairs and entry steps. Anchored into studs or using toggle bolts — never drywall anchors for safety hardware.
  • Blind and window treatment installation — Mini blinds, roller shades, cellular shades, Roman shades, curtain rods. Inside-mount and outside-mount, leveled and operational.
  • Furniture tightening and repair — Wobbly chairs, loose table legs, squeaky bed frames. Structural tightening and joint reinforcement.
  • Property maintenance for landlords — Pre-inspection walkthrough repairs, tenant turnover punch lists, common area mounting and repair. See our Marina del Rey handyman services page for property-specific examples.
  • Outdoor small repairs — Fence gate adjustments, mailbox mounting, hose reel mounting, patio furniture assembly.

The Home Fix Package Explained

Our $369 Home Fix tier was designed specifically for the "list" scenario. One visit, up to three hours, multiple small jobs. Here's a real example of what fits: replace a broken door strike plate so the door actually latches, mount two floating shelves in the living room, patch a doorknob hole in the hallway, and adjust the kitchen cabinet door that's been hanging crooked for six months. All in one visit, one flat price.

The $899 Multi-Task Visit is for when the list is really long — a full day of handyman work. Typical Multi-Task visits include: assemble bedroom furniture, mount TVs in two rooms, install curtain rods throughout, replace drawer slides in the kitchen, and patch drywall in several rooms. It's the "move-in ready" or "pre-listing prep" package.

How We Work

  1. Text photos of your list — Walk through your home and snap photos of every problem. We don't need perfect photos — just enough to see what needs doing. Send to +1 (323) 212-0457.
  2. We recommend a tier — Based on the number and complexity of tasks, we'll tell you which pricing tier fits. If we think it'll take more than one visit, we'll say so.
  3. We show up prepared — Tools, common hardware, anchors, weather stripping, slides — we bring what the job needs based on your photos.
  4. We work through the list — Organized, efficient, clean. You walk through at the end and confirm everything's done.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between a handyman and a contractor?

A general contractor manages large renovation projects that require permits, subcontractors, and weeks or months of work. A handyman handles small repairs, installations, and maintenance tasks that typically take hours, not weeks. We're handymen — we fix, mount, assemble, and repair at the individual task level.

How many small jobs can you do in one visit?

Our Home Fix tier ($369) covers up to roughly 3 hours of work — typically 4-7 small tasks. Our Multi-Task Visit ($899) covers a full day — typically 8-15 tasks depending on complexity. We'll tell you which tier fits your list when you text photos.

Do you do plumbing repairs?

We handle very minor plumbing-related tasks like replacing a showerhead, tightening a loose faucet base, or swapping a toilet seat. We do not repair or replace pipes, valves, drains, faucet cartridges, or any plumbing that involves water connections beyond basic fixture mounting.

Can you do pre-move-in or pre-listing home prep?

Yes — this is one of our most common scenarios. A Multi-Task Visit ($899) covers a full day of repairs, mounting, and fixes to get a home move-in ready or listing-ready. Send us a walkthrough video or photo list and we'll plan the day.

Do you do drywall repair and painting?

We do small drywall patches — holes up to about 12"x12", tape, mud, sand, ready for paint. We do not paint walls because color matching and full-wall finishing is best done by a painting contractor. We leave the patch smooth and primed, ready for you or your painter.

Can you mount a TV and do other repairs in the same visit?

Yes — this is exactly what our pricing model is built for. Mount a TV (at the Service Call level), add a few repairs, and you're at the Home Fix tier. Combine with furniture assembly or full-house mounting and you're at Multi-Task. You get the tier that matches the total work.
